FOLLIES VOLUNTEER INFO SESSION

Want to learn more about the Follies and ways you can help out with this hilarious, family-friendly springtime variety show fundraiser? Preparation kicks off in the fall and we need help with all aspects of the show-planning, directing, stage managing, lighting and sound, casting, writing, performing, managing backstage, promoting, providing, hospitality – you name it! Check out last year’s show on YouTube and please join us!

If you can’t make this meeting, don’t worry. We’ll post a recording and we will follow up with everyone.  Don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@spmspta.org with your questions, suggestions, or to offer your services.


PTA GENERAL ASSOCIATION MEETINGS

Join us virtually on Tuesday, September 26th for our first PTA General Association Meeting this school school year.  We will hear an update from SPUSD school board member, Zahir Robb. Other important agenda items include approval of the 2023-2024 PTA budget and Financial Review for January through June 2023.


7th & 8th GRADE PARENT SOCIAL

Stop by for a few minutes to say hello, or stay awhile and mingle out back with your fellow SPMS 7th & 8th grade parents! RSVP is not required, although appreciated, so that we can let the restaurant know approximately how many people to expect. We hope you can join us! Please RSVP here.


DONATIONS NEEDED

If you have any of the items listed below laying around unused, the PTA will happily take them off your hands. Please drop off your items in the SPMS main office or reach out to info@spmspta.org to arrange pick-up. Contain loose items in a bag or box and label “PTA”. We will pay it forward if we do not keep your item. Thank you!

    • Platters, bowls and baskets of all sizes (reusable plastic ok if it’s in good condition)
    • Serving utensils, salad hands, etc.
    • Metal forks and spoons for individual use

ICE CREAM MONDAYS
MONDAYS After School 

As you may know, the Athletic Boosters and the PTA are teaming up to sell ice cream after school to fundraise for school sports & 8th grade activities. We need volunteers to make this effort successful! Please click on this SIGN UP link to choose from the current available dates and times. In addition, we are looking for a few people who can volunteer on a more regular schedule to establish an Ice Cream Committee to help train new volunteers throughout the year. All SPMS students can enter! Each year the National PTA Reflections Program provides students an opportunity to express their artistic side through visual and performing arts, film production and music. Learn more here.
