STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK
5/6 – 5/10

Let’s shower our SPMS teachers and staff with lots of love and appreciation! The PTA has events planned throughout the week. Please sign up here to donate items.   Here is a preview of some of the planned events:

    • Grab-and-go snacks in the staff lounge each day
    • Coffee and donuts at brunch on Tuesday
    • Specialty coffee and smoothie cart on Wednesday
    • Taco Thursday taco stand at lunch
    • Honorary Service Awards Luncheon on Friday
    • A gift card raffle during the week

This is a great week to let specific teachers and staff know how much they are appreciated! You can encourage your child to send a short email, a handwritten note, flowers, or any other small gesture.

GENERAL PTA MEETING

Please mark your calendars and join us for the last PTA meeting of the school year. The agenda includes the following:

    • Proposed Amended Bylaws – the PTA’s Bylaws Committee will propose a few amendments to our current bylaws and standing rules that generally concern logistical matters. We will be voting upon those proposals.
    • Approving the Preliminary Budget for 2024-25 school year
    • Installing the 2024-25 Executive Board

Mice Sitter Needed!

Mice sitter needed to take care of library mice over summer break. Would you like to take care of the library mice for a portion of the summer? Our three charming little white mice come complete with habitat, food, extra bedding and adorableness. Don’t need to commit to the entire summer, just a portion. Please let Ms. Baranets know ASAP.  Music Festival
Wednesday, May 29th 5:00pm
SPMS Quad

Enjoy performances from our 5th grade band, 6th grade band, choir, orchestra, intermediate band, jazz band, and advanced band. Doors open at 5pm, so bring your own lawn chair or blanket for seating, and don’t forget to indulge in delicious tacos, quesadillas, drinks, desserts, and snacks available for purchase or bring your own picnic for our last concert of the year!


The SPMS Advanced Choir competed at the Acapella Scholarship Festival at Verdugo Hills on Saturday, April 27th and placed second, earning $5500!
