SPMS Logo Design Contest!!
SPMS is looking for a new logo that will be used for the web site, printed matter, T-shirts, and more. SPMS’s mascot is a Puma and the school colors are red and black.
- The logo should be a Puma or some version of our school letters, SPMS.
- The logo MUST be original work of the submitter
- The logo may be created using pencils, crayons, markers, and paint, but no 3D materials such as glitter or stickers. Also, the logo may be made with a computer drawing program, but of course all images must be original
- Submission Deadline: May 1, 2016.
The competition is open to all SPMS students
Each logo must be emailed to email@example.com with Official Entry Form. If hand written logo’s, they must be turned into front office by end of a school day 5/1/16 with an Official Entry form.
A committee comprised of the school Principal, select teachers and some PTA members will be judging. The committee will narrow down the initial entries to the top three logos and they will be displayed on the school website.
Short Pump Middle School will acquire ownership of the winning logo by assignment of copyright, and the winning designer will disclaim any trademarks and without limitation all other rights related to the design. The designer also certifies that the logo does not infringe upon the rights of any third party and that it does not violate any copyright.
One winner will receive:
- Use of the logo by the school
- A selection of gifts featuring the new logo
- Artistic credit and mention in the SPMS School Blast and on the school website
- $50.00 gift certificate

One School, One Theme
The Short Pump PTA Board is pleased to announce that we were able to meet our goal to fund the “One School, One Theme” literature project and purchase enough books for each of our 782 students at SPMS. Thank you to those who joined and donated to the PTA. We could not have met our goal without you!
The SPMS PTA Dr. Mark E. Chamberlain Scholarship
In 2014, The Dr. Mark E. Chamberlain Scholarship was established to honor Dr. Chamberlain’s long term commitment to Short Pump Middle School. Each year, the PTA will award three scholarships to former Short Pump Middle Students in the amount of $500 each.
